The Business Development Manager is a critical role within the Client Business Development team, focusing on driving business growth and operational excellence across the Wizard client base and pharmacy franchise network. This role is ideal for an experienced pharmacist passionate about supporting clients with data-driven insights and targeted advice that help them optimize their operations, increase profitability, and enhance their positioning as leading community pharmacies. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in ensuring brand compliance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the overall strategic goals of WPS.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Business Insights and Strategic Advice
• Develop and Deliver Insights: Provide clients and franchisees with data-driven, actionable business insights that improve their operational efficiency and profitability.
• Customize Business Plans: Collaborate with clients and franchisees to develop tailored business plans, focusing on achieving maximum operational results and growth.
• Monitor Performance: Track the implementation of strategic advice, ensuring that clients and franchisees achieve targeted business outcomes.
2. Franchisee Support and Advocacy
• Enhance Franchisee Satisfaction: Actively work to improve franchisee satisfaction by offering timely, relevant support and advice, including facilitating development workshops to ensure compliance with brand standards.
• Promote Brand Advocacy: Encourage franchisees to become advocates for the Wizard brand, supporting brand growth within their communities.
• Build Strong Relationships: Foster strong, trust-based relationships with franchisees, positioning the Wizard brand as their preferred partner.
3. Support Client and Franchisee Development:
Engage in activities that support the development of both clients and franchisees, ensuring they are well-equipped to uphold and promote the brand standards.
4. Operational Excellence
• Implement Best Practices: Guide franchisees in adopting best practices that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Resolve Operational Issues: Provide expert assistance to resolve operational challenges, ensuring continuous improvement in franchise performance.
• Ensure Compliance: Oversee adherence to operational standards, helping franchisees maintain high levels of clinical and ethical practice.
5. Brand Compliance and Consistency
• Support Brand Audits: Assist in conducting brand compliance audits to ensure that all franchisees meet Wizard’s brand standards.
• Feedback and Correction: Provide franchisees with detailed feedback and corrective actions when brand compliance issues are identified.
• Promote Consistency: Ensure that all franchisees deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience in line with the Wizard brand promise.
• Support Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding of new pharmacy franchisees, including guiding them through the retail-ready phase to ensure compliance with brand standards.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting
• Analyse Key Metrics: Regularly analyse P&L statements, customer satisfaction data, and other key metrics to inform strategic advice.
• Generate Reports: Provide franchisees with regular, comprehensive reports that highlight performance trends and areas for improvement.
• Support Decision-Making: Use data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth for franchisees.
7. Team Collaboration and Development
• Work with Internal Teams: Collaborate with the Onboarding team and other internal departments to ensure a coordinated approach to client and franchise support.
• Participate in Team Development: Contribute to the development of team members by sharing knowledge and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualification in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Pharmacy-related qualifications (advantageous).
Work Experience:
• 5+ years in business development, retail management, or a related field, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
• Proven track record in providing strategic advice and support to business units or franchises.
• Experience in analysing financial data and other performance metrics to drive business growth.
Skills:
