Job Description:
This is a part-time, fixed-term role until 2027 with the possibility of extension - 4 days per week. Based in Parkville, this role is part of the Orygen Specialist Program (OSP), specifically the Hospital Post Suicide Engagement (HOPE) service. The service provides targeted wrap-around supports to young people aged 12 to 25 years old who have presented to an emergency department with acute onset of deliberate self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and/or suicide attempts.
Your new role:
Develop specialist skills in crisis intervention and assessment, safety and risk management, as well as provide brief targeted interventions.
Utilise relational formulation in safety planning and treatment intervention.
Maintain high levels of clinical documentation, record keeping, and report writing.
Access specialist clinical training with regular professional development.
Emphasis on psychosocial recovery to optimise youth quality of life outcomes.
About You:
This multidisciplinary role is open to Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Psychologists. Relevant registration and qualifications required.
Experience delivering specialist mental health treatment, ideally with previous youth mental health experience.
High level of reliability and professional conduct, with a passion for youth mental health.
Understanding of legislation pertinent to the provision of mental health services.
Passionate about delivering youth mental health services with experience in clinical assessment and intervention.
A current Victorian Driver's licence and ongoing ability to use this form of transport.
