ABOUT THE BRANCH
COMCAR, the Commonwealth Government’s car-with-driver service, provides high quality, secure and confidential transport to the Governor-General, current and former Prime Ministers, Senators and Members of Parliament, Federal Judiciary, Heads of Commonwealth Agencies, International guests of Government, visiting dignitaries and major events nationwide. COMCAR has a national presence, with drivers located in each state and territory across Australia. Reservations for services can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY An exciting and rare opportunity for committed casual drivers to work with a distinguished organisation, COMCAR, in their car-with-driver service casual driving pool. We are looking for dynamic, courteous, and team-oriented individuals who display a commitment to the delivery of outstanding levels of service. This is a challenging role, which offers satisfying and interesting work, which will see employees rewarded with attractive remuneration.
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate flexibility to meet work demands, including the ability to work early mornings and/or late evenings, weekends, and public holidays and, at times, work at short notice.
Applicants should note that the frequency of work is driven by demand and involves duties on an irregular and intermittent basis.

8. Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS) unless the Agency Head has agreed otherwise, in writing.
9. Successful applicants will be required to undergo the process to obtain and maintain, or continue to hold the required security clearance level for the role as indicated in the downloadable job pack. All Finance staff are required to have a minimum baseline security clearance prior to commencement.
