They are committed to delivering sustainable housing solutions that empower individuals and strengthen communities.We are seeking a Finance Officer to join their dynamic team in their stunning new location in Bowden!Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the finance team, supporting financial operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day processes. Your role will involve liaising with tenants, banks, suppliers, and service providers, including council, state, and Commonwealth government contacts.Work from home 2 days a week5 weeks paid leave and salary packaging optionAmazing new facilitiesFixed 12-month contractKey Responsibilities:Provide financial support to the housing team to ensure that income is recorded appropriately in the accounting systemPrepare bank reconciliations, process banking and facilitate transfers to ensure that appropriate cash balances are maintained in Unity Bank accountsInvoice tenants for water chargesProcess purchases and payments and enter into Kypera Financials plus SharePoint to accurately record and make payment to suppliers and service providersArrange payment to creditorsUndertake general Ledger and other reconciliations as requiredProvide financial support to relevant housing teamProvide support to the Finance Manager and other members of the Finance Team as requiredMaintain financial filing systems and recordsRespond to contractor calls/emails regarding their accountsSplitting/combining PDF invoices for processingQualifications:TAFE level qualifications in administration, finance or business (minimum certificate III in business administration or similar)Experience Essential:Financial management principles and reporting techniquesDemonstrated experience in financial management or bookkeepingExperience in working autonomously with broad guidelinesExperience in working with high volumes of work requiring the establishment of priorities and deadlinesWorking with Children checkNational Police ClearanceIf you're passionate about social impact and want to be part of a purpose-driven organisation, we'd love to hear from you!Apply NowTo register your interest, please forward your current resume in Word format and cover letter via the application link.Your confidential application will be acknowledged by email and shortlisted applicants will be contacted by phone from the Davies Stewart team.For a confidential conversation please contact Sheree Cook | 08 8232 8008.
