Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an enthusiastic Podiatrist who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of older people. You will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment of lower limb complications to customers in a variety of settings. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of locations, including residential facilities, community clinics and in customer homes.
As the needs of the older person changes, so does our service. We have recently introduced the ability to provide custom orthoses via a 3D scanner; with many funding options available to make this accessible. Our team are committed to providing a diverse range of treatments including dry needling, nail surgery, biomechanic assessments with referral options available to and from, our wider team of Allied Health Professionals.
Working in our residential facilities give the opportunity to be part of a truly multi-disciplinary team, by providing input into wound care and pressure management. This aspect of the role is supported by Allied Health Assistants to manage administration and sterilisation.
What can you expect to be doing?
16. Collaborate with therapists to deliver individually based assessment and treatments in variety of settings including their own homes, residential and community based settings
17. Assist in the development and implementation of organisational processes to upskill therapists and improve customer outcomes
18. Work with customers towards achieving health goals and positive outcomes through a multidisciplinary approach
What do you need to bring?
19. Bachelor or Masters in podiatry
20. Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
21. A current driver's license and a certified roadworthy vehicle that is registered and has third party insurance (you will be reimbursed .80 cents per km for work related travel)
