Occupational Therapy plays a key role in the delivery of the ward group program as well as contributing to the NDIS space through functional assessments and reporting. The part time temporary role involves supporting the Occupational Therapy Department in undertaking a program review which may include reviewing existing programs, surveying consumers and staff and helping to research program ideas based on feedback and incorporating the use of technology and evidence. It is a 100 bed mental health facility comprised of assessment, adult acute and older persons wards. The advertised positions provide Occupational Therapy services in Adult Acute Mental Health as part of an Occupational Therapy Department and the broader multidisciplinary team. The roles are directly supervised by the Department Head of Occupational Therapy on site and will receive orientation to the role and service. They will have access to essential mandatory training and ongoing professional development opportunities as identified through the Performance Development and Review process as well as regular clinical supervision. The position also sits under the broader profession framework with access to a Head of Discipline and Occupational Therapy network for connection with profession through inservices and development days.
