Merit list/pools and how they will be used
Applicants suitable for the role but not offered the position for the current vacancy may be placed in a merit list or pool. If the applicant agrees, the results may be shared with other Australian Public Service (APS) agencies for filling similar roles. Applicants may be offered a future role, without the need to reapply. A merit list or pool may be used for up to 18 months.

Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR)
Reporting to the Assistant Director Corporate Services, Communications and Stakeholder Relations, the Team Manager Corporate Services is responsible for the corporate support within the office and a small team. The Team Manager position works closely with Executive Level staff to oversee all corporate and financial management functions including learning and development, budget and procurement.
The key duties of the position include:
* Provide advice and support office regarding procurement planning, tendering and contract management activities in compliance with policies, processes and procedures.
* Undertaking the procurement of goods and services in alignment with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
* Extracting and analysing data from financial systems to support budgeting planning, transaction processes and resolve enquiries.
* Leading the OSIR Training and Development Framework, including identifying and coordinating individual and team training and induction needs.
* Managing a small team including timesheet and flex sheet approvals, contract management and leave approvals.
* Managing office and logistical requirements including engagement and onboarding of new staff, work from home arrangements, payment of invoices and goods receipted, building, security, telephony access and seating plans, as well as lead the culture of the office.
* Managing and reporting on employee engagement strategies, performance management and unplanned leave strategies.
Please note, under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the APS unless the Agency delegate has agreed, in writing. This is a designated security assessed position. The successful candidate will have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
This selection process may be used to establish a merit pool. The pool might be accessed to fill ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies for similar roles in the Department over the next 18 months.
