We are curently looking for a NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner - Social Worker to join our team in Sylvania 2224.
Technical Competencies
* Demonstrate ability to conduct comprehensive behaviour assessments and designing, implementing and evaluating behaviour support plans
* Extensive knowledge of The Positive Behaviour Support
* Capability framework and thorough understanding of restrictive practice regulations
* Demonstrate understanding of the common impact of disability on families of people with a disability
* Demonstrate an awareness of the principles of positive behavioural intervention, including strategies that are embedded in the context of strengths based and least restrictive practices
* Demonstrate a range of intervention strategies to address needs that relate to activities of daily living, social integration, sensory processing and integration and mental health Management
* Conduct interviews with individuals and families to assess the depth and nature of clients' challenges, assisting them in addressing these issues through structured services that help them meet their NDIS objectives.
* Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate psychosocial services and resources to NDIS participants, acting as a bridge between the participants and the available community services.
* Support NDIS participants’ inclusion and participation in the community by collaborating with community organisations, social service agencies and other key stakeholders.
* Demonstrate an understanding and ability to provide services and support within the parameters of the participant’s NDIS funding and the available resources.
* Fulfil administrative requirements such as data collection, note taking and preparing reports.
* Participate in regular professional development opportunities to keep up with current developments.
* When assigned, supervise and train assistants, volunteers and students, ensuring the maintenance of professional, clinical, ethical and safety standards.
* Ensure compliance with PRS duty of care (code of practice).
* Ensure compliance with duty of care, ethical standards, and NDIS regulations, making sure that all services are provided in a manner that upholds the highest standards of professionalism and quality.

Qualifications & Knowledge/Experience
* Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Social Work
* Relevant work experience for 1-2 years
Licenses and Accreditations
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* Working with Children’s check
* Current Driver’s license
* Current AASW registration
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $84,764 - $93,314 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
