Summary: The ACT Area Manager will be responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and management of Royal Life Saving’s operations in the ACT. The role is pivotal in aligning with government policies, driving success, achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), and growing business areas. The ACT Area Manager will collaborate with the broader aquatic industry in ACT and surrounding regions to enhance safety and skill standards. Additionally, the ACT Area Manager will work with and lead a small team in the office, alongside casual staff including trainers and learn-to-swim teachers. The successful candidate must have experience in a similar field and be able to represent Royal Life Saving ACT as required for media enquiries and the promotion of the organisation to government and key stakeholders. Responsibilities: Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity across the ACT area Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions Manage and oversee the performance of office staff, providing guidance and support as needed Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations Collaborate with other departments across RLSNSW |ACT|TAS to ensure seamless communication and coordination of activities across the organisation Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners Manage budgets and financial performance for the ACT office, ensuring that expenses are within budget and revenue targets are met or exceeded Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs Ensure that the office is providing high-quality customer service and support Essential Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field 5 years of experience in operations management Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational issues Experience with budget management and financial analysis Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to operations management Preferred Qualifications & Experience Experience working with government agencies and understanding of government processes. Knowledge of the aquatic industry and related safety standards. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
