Property Services delivers a range of office accommodation services, building maintenance, security and fleet services for the department. The position has operational responsibility to coordinate, plan, deliver and report against assigned capital and maintenance projects and programs. The position reports to an AO7 Principal Property Officer and will closely with Q-Build to deliver capital and maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities
As Senior Property Services Officer, responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Property and related services
* Deliver cost effective and value for money services and solutions, covering activities such as office accommodation: leasing; fit-outs and refurbishments; minor works; maintenance; security; relocations, employee housing and fleet management.
* Ensure assigned projects and programs of work are managed in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act (2011) and other relevant government policies and frameworks to ensure the management of risks and safeguards of the interests of all employees.
* Provide advice to the Principal Property Officer and Branch Management on assigned infrastructure project delivery status, project priorities, expenditure forecasts, risks, and emerging issues.
* Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of effective administrative systems and procedures, providing advice and assistance to stakeholders (Customers, Clients and suppliers) on their implementation.
Collaboration
* Build and maintain positive professional and productive working relationships with stakeholders (customers, clients and suppliers).
* Provide advice to, and work collaboratively with, stakeholders (Customers, Clients and suppliers) to facilitate outcomes ensuring appropriate linkages and consistency with whole-of-government and departmental frameworks and policies.
Continuous Improvement
* Use initiative and sound decision-making and problem-solving skills to assess and provide recommendations for continuous improvement to ensure effective delivery of priorities, processes and procedures.
