Identifying geotechnical hazards and recommending remedial measures or safety controls in accordance with industry best practice with support from the Geotechnical Engineer Assist with the development of geotechnical requirements required for mine plans considering both the short and long-term Compliance with MRM safety practices, procedures, and risk management processes Identification of continuous improvement opportunities Contribute to geotechnical projects All other tasks/duties as directed by the Senior/Lead Geotechnical Engineer Requirements for Successful Applicant: Advanced Diploma of Metalliferous Mining or higher qualification from a recognised institution Demonstrated knowledge in open pit metalliferous mines is highly desirable Demonstrated experience with Vulcan and Roscience mine design systems is highly desirable Experience with Microsoft Suite Ability to work autonomously with solutions focussed Ability to complete tasks within set deadlines Ability to write and communicate effectively High level of attention to detail At MRM, we are ‘Territory first’ and will prioritise applications from Territorians or those ready to relocate.
