You will be assisting the Coordinator Environmental Health to mentor and teach fellow Officers.
You will have the opportunity to work with our community to protect, promote and improve public health in an integral role that contributes to the economic vitality of our Town.
What you'll need to succeed Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health) or other equivalent qualification suitable for appointment as an authorised officer under section 24 of Public Health Act 2016 and Section 87 & 88 of the Environmental Protection Act 1986. sound knowledge of statutory provisions relating to environmental health.
high level of knowledge and ability to analyse noise related matters and sound level meter measurements against relevant legislation sound administrative and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
desire and ability to mentor and lead other officers ability to take initiative while working autonomously in a busy environment.
flexibility to work on weekends and outside regular office hours.
working knowledge of processes, programs and policies relevant to environmental health.
excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to build constructive working relationships.
current WA driver's licence.
