About the Opportunity
A unique opportunity exists for an experienced events professional to join our external Communications Team.
The Communications Advisor – Events is responsible for delivering engaging corporate events; coordinating ASC’s trade show participation; managing visits to our facilities in South Australia and Western Australia; and supporting the wider external communications function at ASC nationwide.
This role is for an initial 12 month fixed term contract.
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate external events and trade show participation, including project management, scheduling, branding, logistics, promotion, merchandise, and stakeholder liaison.
2. Coordinate visits to ASC’s facilities, including supporting administration activities.
3. Coordinate and control corporate communications material, collateral and merchandise.
4. Coordinate ASC sponsorships and other engagements with external organisations.
Skills & Experience
5. At least 2-3 years’ experience working in an events or visits management role, preferably in a government, defence or large corporate organisation.
6. Be able to travel interstate and willing to work out of hours if required.
7. Excellent time management, organisational skills and attention to detail.
8. The ability to establish and maintain quality working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
9. Strong written and oral communication skills.
Some interstate travel and out of hours work will be required. An Australian driver’s licence is also required.
