The Position: Reporting directly to the CEO of Ferrovial Infrastructure in Spain, as the Head of Energy Infrastructure Australia you will play a pivotal role in originating and advancing transmission lines, substations, and renewables projects across Australia, aligning with their ambitious business targets. Duties and Responsibilities: Proactively monitor and pursue transmission tenders from public and private sectors, engaging effectively with relevant authorities and stakeholders. Champion negotiations to secure land rights crucial for project development, fostering strong relationships with landowners. Lead the comprehensive permitting process to ensure timely acquisition of all necessary project permits, licenses, and authorizations. Navigate the complex grid access and interconnection processes in collaboration with ISOs/utilities to optimize project timelines and outcomes. Collaborate closely with consultants, advisors, and engineers to design environmentally and socially responsible projects that meet technical, budgetary, and scheduling requirements. Conduct thorough risk assessments for project sites, driving strategic decisions that enhance project viability and sustainability. Identify and implement innovative solutions to ensure project feasibility from both investment and financing perspectives. Cultivate strategic alliances with potential clients, partners, and collaborators to expand our footprint in the market. Oversee the contracting and management of service providers, consultants, and advisors to support development activities. Maintain proactive relationships with local, regional, and national administrations, DNO/TSO/ISO entities, and other relevant agencies to streamline permit processing. Provide expert support to construction and business teams, serving as a pivotal point of expertise. Requirements: Experienced in project financing and negotiating Concession-type / PPP projects with public entities High-level negotiations ( with lenders/banks etc) Hold an engineering degree in electrical power systems or electrical engineering; other relevant educational backgrounds will be considered with demonstrated experience. Possess a proven track record of more than 8 years in a similar leadership role within the energy sector. Preference for candidates with direct experience at TSOs/DSOs or similar transmission-related entities. Strong understanding of public tender processes, interconnection agreements, and project development cycles. Willingness and flexibility to travel as required by project demands.
