Business Director at Hays Recruiting Experts in Procurement, Purchasing & Contracts Senior Contract Specialist for Owners team. Reporting to the Project Manager and based onsite in Kwinana (initially you can work from home 2 days a week) the role will lead the Project contract management through the design, execution, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of the Project.
The role will be required to interface with the engineering contractor, as the owner's team Contract lead.
Commercial Management:
Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the Project to minimise risk and liability. Supervise the preparation of major supplier and contractor documents. Assist the client team to resolve contractual and commercial disputes, achieving the best project outcomes. Work closely with project finance/cost control team and project manager to maximise the financial performance. Risk and Compliance:
Deliver outcomes to maximise opportunities and minimise risk in an accurate and timely way throughout the life cycle of the project. Manage contract changes, commercial proposals, and contractual correspondence with the EPCM and vendors for the supply of materials, equipment and packages. Oversee the work of the EPCM, ensuring compliance with the contract terms. The candidate will have:
A strong focus on safety and safe work practices. Experience in the chemicals, energy or mining industry. Tertiary qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline. Seniority level Not Applicable
