We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Neurosurgery. The primary purpose of the role of Visiting Medical Officer in Neurosurgery is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Neurosurgery and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Neurosurgery Department and Hospital as required. The Visiting Medical Officer will have a demonstrated interest in skull base surgery and/or cerebrovascular surgery with a history of publications in these areas. They will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development. The successful applicant will be registered or eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with recognised qualifications in Neurosurgery and/or other equivalent specialist recognition. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
