This role focuses on monitoring environmental risks, conducting field assessments, managing environmental reporting, and ensuring compliance with legislative and internal environmental requirements. Your duties will include (but not limited to); - Compliance management Overseeing on-site environmental sampling, monitoring, and statutory reporting Lead, mentor, and develop a team of environmental professionals Identify, assess, and mitigate environmental risks by implementing effective control measures to maintain environmental integrity Engaging and overseeing contractors for environmental monitoring Continuous improvement Your Value Tertiary qualifications in environmental management, planning, engineering or a related field and/or relevant industry experience Minimum of 5 years' experience on a metalliferous mine site in a similar role. Exceptional understanding of environmental legislation and the compliance tools used by regulators Strong foundation in environmental management, including field-based assessments, environmental monitoring, and reporting to meet regulatory and company standards Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of environmental professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key regulatory agencies to facilitate compliance and reporting processes Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills The Opportunity This is a standout opportunity to join a reputable mining principal that will allow you to grow and develop your career.
