Sparrows Services Australia Pty Ltd is a specialist lifting and mechanical handling contractor that delivers equipment, technology and integrated engineering services to the global energy industry.Our solutions support our clients to optimise their efficiency by ensuring the performance, reliability and safety of critical equipment and people.With our headquarters in Aberdeen, we employ over 2,000 people across numerous operational locations across the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.We are looking to recruit a Full Time Hydraulic Technician to join our team in Australia based from our office at Subiaco.MAIN PURPOSE:The primary responsibility is to carry out mechanical & hydraulic repair, inspection and testing on a range of crane and hydraulic systems, adhering to client specifications.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:The incumbent is required to work onshore and offshore.Prior to travelling offshore the incumbent would receive a Work Pack relating to the nature of the job.Direct contact with the base should always be maintained, giving an up-to-date report on the job situation.Responsible for carrying out mechanical and hydraulic repairs adhering to client specifications as detailed on the relevant Job Card or Standing Instructions issued by the relevant Project Engineer.Carry out Inspections adhering to client specifications or to Sparrows Inspection procedures and guidelines as detailed in the relevant workpack/ site instruction issued by the relevant Project Engineer.Carry out testing of equipment adhering to client specifications or to Sparrows testing procedures and guidelines as detailed in the relevant workpack/ site instruction by the relevant Project Engineer.The incumbent is required to work onshore.All work will be directed by the relevant Project Engineer or Hydraulics manager.The work will be carried out adhering to client specifications as detailed on the relevant Job Card, Site Instruction or Standing Instructions.Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through effective customer service, technical assistance and prompt after sales service.Liaise with Technical Support Group for technical input / assistance.Being a Company Representative is required to carry out his duties safely and diligently.Responsible for maintaining the workshop equipment and associated tooling in good order at all times.Required to participate fully with the Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Systems of Sparrows Services.Responsible for Company equipment.Equipment is to be operated and maintained correctly; defects must be reported and where possible, rectified.SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:MandatoryLevel 3 Hydraulic or Mechanical Engineering certificate preferableMinimum 3 years relevant work experience, preferably in the offshore and gas industry.BOSIET/FOETOGUK MedicalWhite CardWorking at Heights certificateRope Access level 1/2Senior First AidYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Hydraulic Technician?Do you hold a Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)?Which of the following height safety tickets have you completed?#J-18808-Ljbffr
