About The Role: The Residential Youth Worker role works within a multi-disciplinary care team with the support of a Service Coordinator to provide safety, stability, consistency, security & encouragement for the children and young people in our care. This role requires the capacity to work day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays. About You: The ideal candidate will: • Be non-judgmental, kind and caring, nurturing and fun • Demonstrate high levels of resilience, patience and unconditional positive regard at all times • Provide a safe and supportive environment when young people display challenging behaviours. • Role model pro-social behaviour and engage children and young people in purposeful activities aimed at developing their life skills, self-worth & self-efficacy. • Embed our practice frameworks into daily habits through reflective practice • Be self-aware, emotionally regulated and attuned to others’ emotions • Provide detailed written reports in a dedicated client management system • Follow policy and legislative requirements whilst maintaining privacy & confidentiality. • Support the involvement of family, and significant others, and promote positive relationships. Essential Criteria • Hold, or be working towards, a Certificate IV or higher in Youth and Community Services or a related field/degree. • A current blue card (or willing to obtain one). • Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain). • Open driver's license. • National Police Check obtained within the previous 12 months (or willing to obtain). • Hope & Healing Certificate If you are interested in joining the Lighthouse CFS team, please submit your resume and cover letter with your application.
