The Grade 1 Speech Pathologist Mental Health will be a valued member of the Mental Health team to undertake a range of duties expected of their profession within mental health. This will include discipline specific input into assessment, treatment and discharge planning both in the community and in the acute in-patient setting; completion of all relevant documentation; attendance at clinical and other relevant meetings; and liaison with family members or carers, staff across the Services, and community service providers. The Grade 1 Speech Pathologist will provide appropriate evidence-based assessment and intervention for communication and swallowing disorders for patients in these programs.
