About the Role
In this Electrical Tradesperson position, you'll be key in maintaining and repairing locomotives, rail cars, wagons, plant, and infrastructure to ensure they meet safety and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing routine and corrective maintenance and fault repairs using best practices.
* Adhering to Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) regulations and technical specifications.
* Keeping accurate records and documentation of asset conditions, maintenance activities, and costs.
* Reporting completed work against the scheduled program.
* Contributing to the development and enhancement of work procedures for continuous quality improvement.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Proficient in computer use.
* Holds a mandatory electrical trade qualification or equivalent.
* Possesses strong interpersonal communication skills.
* Has experience in repairing and maintaining locomotives and rolling stock (highly valued).
* Demonstrates robust fault-finding and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
* Knowledgeable in relevant legislation, including the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
* Experienced with locomotives and wagons (plus training will be provided).
