The Department
We are thrilled to offer a brand-new opportunity as the Manager of Global Programs, for the Alfred Emergency Academic Centre (AEAC). We are on the lookout for a passionate and results-driven Program Manager who can take the reins in driving strategic partnerships and advocating for a cause that truly matters – enhancing emergency care on a global scale.
The AEAC works in close collaboration with the emergency clinical team and with our academic partners at Monash University School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. The AEAC administers a multi-million-dollar program of commercial, government, and research funding to deliver world-leading academic outputs.
Position Summary
As the Manager of Global Programs, you will be leading and developing our program of global activities. Particularly via identifying and responding to opportunities and funding schemes to enable growth. You’ll need to connect and collaborate with external stakeholders including international health services, global emergency care providers, universities, research organisations, and a plethora of collaborators. Opportunities for interstate and international travel may arise!
Qualifications and Experience Required
We’re looking for an experienced leader or facilitator of global programs, with particular interest in those who have experience with healthcare projects in the Pacific Region and/or in emergency care. We need a self-starter who likes to take ownership, whilst thriving on collaboration with our diverse team of administrators, academics and clinicians, and our external stakeholders. A relevant post-graduate qualification will be highly regarded.
Ideally, you’ll have experience working in emergency care organisations and systems; and have established networks across global health providers and funding bodies.
We can however be flexible with our minimum requirements for the right candidate. We always prioritise person-fit over a checklist of skills and experience!
