The Position
A great temporary full-time opportunity has came available for a Medical PHO in Adult Internal Medicine, in Rural Queensland 76 hours p.f.
Clinical Responsibilities
▪ Under the supervision of the relevant Consultants, initiate, maintain and be responsible for the clinical care of patients.
▪ Supervise the day to day activities of junior medical staff to ensure that appropriate standards of care are maintained and that junior medical staff are trained to adequately fulfil their duties.
▪ Participate in the provision of an on-call roster or a shift roster to provide services out of hours, at night and on weekends, as directed by the relevant Director.
Transfer and appointment expenses may be negotiated.
Health Service
You will be based at the primary teaching hospital of the well-established School of Rural and Remote Medicine, James Cook University Medical School and plays an active role in medical student and junior doctor education. Clinical services provided include: Emergency Services, General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Anaesthetics, High Dependency, Psychiatry, Haemodialysis, Palliative Care, Oncology, Pain Management, 24/7 Medical Imaging (X-ray, Ultrasound, CT Scan and Echocardiography) and Pathology.

Essential Criteria
* Hold current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
* To be "on-call" or participate in shift rosters is a requirement of the position.
The Package
* Up to $70,000 in incentive payments may be available under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme
* Base salary ranges between $129,583 and $150,240 p.a. (L4-L9).
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
* Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
* Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.
* 4 weeks p.a. recreational leave with a 17.5% loading/bonus.
