As the Dam Asset Management Leader at Sydney Water, you will be responsible for effective asset management and compliance of dam assets including both prescribed and non-prescribed dams.You will provide technical leadership, direct oversight, and strategic input to ensure that asset management practices meet customer, shareholder, and regulatory expectations.Responsibilities:Leadership in Dam Asset Management: Spearhead the management of dam assets, focusing on renewal planning, inspection and maintenance strategies, and comprehensive condition assessments to maintain service quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.Maintenance Execution: Ensure the inspection and maintenance activities are completed to optimise asset performance and safety, whilst maintaining regulatory compliance.Collaboration with Experts: Liaise with engineering experts to provide specialised advice, ensuring the quality of maintenance work and the integrity of dam infrastructure.Risk & Compliance: Monitor and review risk reports and treatment actions, escalating significant issues as necessary, while ensuring that all designs and modifications comply with safety regulations and standards.Minimum Requirements:Degree qualification in civil engineering, structural engineering or a related discipline or suitable industry experience in the dam safety fieldAsset Management experience preferably with the development of asset maintenance, renewal and condition assessment plans and programsMinimum of 10 years relevant experience in the management of structural assets.
