Hydraulic EngineerThe client is a National Tier 1 Building Services Contractor, looking to identify an Intermediate or Senior level Hydraulic Engineer (Plumbing Design) to work on a range of projects including Health, Commercial Buildings, Aged-Care, Residential and Industrial.
Based in Sydney City, with easy access to public transport and amenities.Flexible work-from-home options available, once trust and capacity is established supporting a hybrid work model.Opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team on diverse projects.Key Responsibilities: Design and develop plumbing systems for Residential, Commercial, and Industrial projects.Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure proper water supply, drainage, and wastewater management.Select appropriate materials, fixtures, and piping systems based on project specifications and codes.Ensure compliance with local, national, and international plumbing codes and standards.Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to integrate plumbing systems into building designs.Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software.Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify installation accuracy and performance.Troubleshoot and optimize plumbing systems for efficiency and sustainability.Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and regulatory changes.Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and clients.Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering (or equivalent).Professional Engineering (P.Eng) certification is an asset.Experience in plumbing system design, hydraulic analysis, and pipe sizing.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.Strong knowledge of plumbing codes (e.g., IPC, NPC, ASHRAE standards).Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.Personal Attributes: Self-managed and proactive, capable of taking ownership of projects from concept to completion.Driven and motivated, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.Excellent time management skills, able to prioritize tasks effectively in a hybrid work environment.Strong initiative, continuously seeking process improvements and innovative solutions.Effective communicator, comfortable liaising with clients, contractors, and team members.Please apply to this advert or alternatively email a CV to ******
