Senior Electrical Engineer (Buildings) - ( 2500018G )DescriptionAbout the roleWe are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our friendly and busy Perth Electrical Team on a full-time basis.
You will be a part of our multi-disciplinary team working across various building projects, including: health, commercial, retail, defence, data centre, industrial and educational buildings.The successful candidate will have a good grounding in design and be looking to further develop their role and responsibilities.
You will be able to work independently on a wide range of projects with an ability to manage workload on several projects at different stages of completion.
You will be a technical leader within the electrical section and will be able to contribute to the development of younger engineers.

The role will enable the successful applicant to develop in a professional and personal sense and to forge a challenging and rewarding career path, in a successful global consulting organisation.Day to day tasks would involve:Responsible for planning and managing projects from initial master planning, concept and brief, through to installation and commissioningDemonstrate a high degree of technical knowledge, providing oversight and supervision to ensure successful project deliveryElectrical design for a range of building projects, providing reports, studies, design calculations, drawings and specificationsLV power system modelling and light modelling using industry standard software such as PowerCAD, AGI/DialuxGood Project Management capabilitiesSupport and offer guidance to Engineers and Graduates to enable them to perform successfully at all levelsRepresent Stantec externally to Clients, playing a senior and active role in managing these relationships and generate repeat businessBring value to in-house design/project meetingsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsContribute to the overall strategy and development of the electrical team and to our company cultureAdhere to Stantec professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality proceduresTo be successful for this role you'll need:Hold a bachelor of Electrical EngineeringHave previous experience in Consulting environment within the Building services industryKnowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian StandardsWillingness to establish and maintain strong client relationships to formulate repeat opportunitiesHave experience planning and managing successful projectsStrong Technical knowledge of LV power system modelling and light modelling using industry standard software such as PowerCAD and AGI/DialuxAbility to multitask between project involvement, lead multi-disciplinary teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPositive, can-do attitude, team player and strong work ethicAbout StantecThe Stantec community unites approximately 31,000 employees working in over 450 locations across six continents.
