Our client is a well-established local regional office of a national firm, connected to a global network. Their northern NSW office team are well known and connected in the community. They provide audit, tax and business advisory services, combining local community expertise backed by a supportive HQ and extensive office network.
The firm is dedicated to understanding its client’s businesses and needs, offering personalised and thorough services among their solid pool of large and small businesses and wealthy rural clients.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The current partner is planning to retire in June 2025. The executive leadership team is seeking a seasoned senior accounting professional to take over the partner’s book of clients
In this role you will have the opportunity to manage a dedicated stable professional team, work with a diverse portfolio of long-standing mixture clients from all business sectors including agriculture.
You will enjoy the close-knit environment of a coastal country town office while benefiting from the resources and support of a national firm and its broader network.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage the office
* Lead a team of accounting professionals and support staff
* Service and maintain existing book of clients
* Develop and foster long-term client relationships
* Play a pivotal role in business development and client acquisition
* Collaborate closely with senior management and other Partners
* Influence and implement business strategy at a local and national level
EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
* 10+ years’ experience in tax/business services management in a CA/CPA firm
* Proven leadership and people management skills
* Strong client relationship and stakeholder management experience
* Strategic mindset with aspirations to become a salaried Partner
