The Company:
Highly regarded in the utilities space for their condition based monitoring products and services. A small company undergoing significant growth. Located in Mulgrave. My client is seeking an embedded firmware and hardware engineer for a 6 month contract with potential to extend.
The Role:
As the embedded firmware and hardware engineer, you will support a range of IOT devices. Your initial challenges will be to increase stability and battery life of one of the existing products. You would be based in our Mulgrave facilities with full electronics workshop and production assembly area. This also includes access to in-house 3D printing facilities for prototyping.
Essential Skills Required:
* Relevant degree and minimum 3-5 years' experience
* Digital and analog design, including PCB layout essential.
* Embedded programming essential
* Experience with battery powered devices, energy harvesting, and ultra-low power designs preferred.
* Experience with STM32 M4 series microcontroller preferred.
* Experience with IOT technologies such as LWM2M advantageous.
* Debugging using JTAG.
* Familiar with standard communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, GPIO, and UART.
* Experience with modems, NB-IOT/CAT-M1, LoRaWAN and Bluetooth an advantage.
* Experience with highspeed capture and processing of AC power signals an advantage.
* Experience designing end of line test systems.
