The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Triage MHS Acute Care Stream (526227) vacancy. Please note this position is also being advertised as an Allied Health - Triage MHS Acute Care Stream (526227d) and only one position will be filled on merit.

The Role:
As a senior clinician within an acute care multidisciplinary team delivering person-centred, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed care, you will:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of a regional triage service, including supervision and support of other staff within the designated team.
* Undertake a specialist triage function for assigned referrals to the Acute Care Stream (ACS), assessing the nature of referrals and determining appropriate response pathways.
* Ensure all contacts and referrals are prioritized according to assessed individual need and presenting risk.
You will need to:
* Conduct initial assessments and triage all office hours contacts and referrals to the ACS.
* Deliver comprehensive community-based mental health triage services, including conducting assessments and formulating management plans.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and deliver effective handovers of all referrals.
Details of appointment: Registered Nurse, Grade 6. Permanent full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
