About the role
The primary purpose of this role is to receive, sort, decontaminate and reprocess all re-usable medical and surgical instruments and equipment under the direction and supervision of the CSSD Associate Nuse Unit Manager.

* Be responsible for the reprocessing of critical & semi critical reusable medical devices
* Commitment to ongoing professional and educational development
* Ability to operate with flexibility in an environmental of change
Key Responsibilities
* Effectively utilise universal precautions and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
* Undertake annual mandatory Organisational & Departmental competencies
* Participate in ongoing and review of their daily work activities to identify opportunities for Continuous Quality Improvement
* Report any identified or potential risks
* Liaise and communicate with all departments
* Ensure resources used are appropriate and not wasted
* Participate in skill development opportunities relevant to the Sterilising Practices
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to work within a team
* Commitment to undertake a Certificate 111 in Sterilising Services or equivalent
