Full Time Permanent Position
Band 8 - Salary Range $123,831 to $138,629 per annum + 11.5% Super + ADO
Salary offered will depend on level of skills and experience.

The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a leader to manage the Early Childhood team, reporting directly to the Manager Child, Family and Youth.
The Coordinator Early Childhood role will lead the Early Childhood team and service delivery including a range of early years service delivery and engagement, provider partnerships, and play a key role in community infrastructure, to meet Council’s goals, community, and customer expectations. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to build, foster, and maintain positive working relationships and deliver quality outcomes for Council and our community in accordance with Government standards, regulations, and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to integrated planning and delivery of Early Childhood services.
Ensuring the Early Childhood services operates efficiently, consistent with Council’s Customer Service Charter, all relevant legislation, Government guidelines, and Funding and Service Agreements.
Delivery of a high-performance team culture and as well as providing support, coaching and high-quality supervision.
Develop, monitor, and provide advice in relation to Early Childhood services business plans, risk management plans, policies, and budgets.
Lead the development of early years infrastructure planning and activation processes.
Ensuring reports and records required by Council and Government departments, including the Department of Education, are submitted within the required time frames.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
A degree level qualification in early childhood, education, health, welfare, social work, community development or related field with further formal qualifications in the field of expertise or in management, or lesser formal qualifications together with extensive experience, in the Early Childhood industry.
Substantial experience in leading and coordinating people and managing staff in delivering high quality services.
Well-developed skills in strategic planning, policy, business planning and budget management.
Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
