QAL is dedicated to a target of net zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030.What you’ll contribute to:An exciting opportunity has recently become available for two Aerodrome Reporting and Maintenance Officer (ARMO) full-time positions to join our Mount Isa Aviation team. This role is diverse with a focus on ensuring aviation safety and security integrity of the airport and effectiveness of service provided to our customers.The ARMO position has a unique 4-week rotating roster to assist in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. If required, this position also offers temporary accommodation during the initial phase of the successful applicants onboarding.How you will make an impact?We are looking for two new team members that have a passion for the aviation industry and a strong safety mindset. It is essential that candidates possess a current Driver's Licence and have the ability to obtain a Firearms Licence and an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).The successful applicant will have excellent planning and priority management skills. A general understanding of laws and regulations as well as experience in airside operations is desirable; however, the right candidate will be enthusiastic about the aviation industry and can be provided all training once commenced in the position.Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:Ensuring the safe and secure operation of the airside environment in accordance with relevant regulations and company SOPs.Supporting all stakeholders and airline partners by maintaining aerodrome serviceability.Management of impediments to aircraft operations such as wildlife and other hazards.Working outdoors in the elements to undertake grounds and general maintenance activities as part of the Maintenance component of the position.Ensuring all grounds are kept in an orderly and tidy manner and in compliance with airport operating and safety requirements.Record operations log entries daily, highlighting incidents to be reported.What we offer you?This is an opportunity to be part of a progressive organisation with a great culture and assist in the transformation and growth of the business.
