About the Role
Health and Safety Advisors at Grampians Health are part of a great multidisciplinary team of specialists and generalists. Working with specific areas of the health service, our team brings expert knowledge and skills to support workers and managers achieve positive outcomes in all aspects of the workplace.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced health and safety advisor to provide high-quality support and advice to operational directorates on the development and implementation of safe work systems and processes to enable positive health and safety outcomes. With excellent communication skills you will work with managers and employees at all levels of the organisation to complete onsite assessments, education and training; and to promote and instill a proactive and positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and advise operational directorates on effective systems and process
* Provide expert advice on technical health and safety matters
* Engage in continuous improvement
* Collaborate with the team and its stakeholders
* Influence our safety culture
Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline and/or substantial experience within the health and safety profession.
* Experience in identification and assessment of hazards and incident investigation
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) or equivalent and/or experience in designing, coordinating, delivering and evaluating training programs/tools.
* Demonstrated experience in initiating and managing projects.
* Experience in a healthcare setting would be highly regarded.
