As our new General Manager, taking over from the founder, you'll have the opportunity to lead our talented team and take our operations to new heights. The Role Reporting and working closely with the founder, your overall responsibility will be to support and drive the business through its next growth phase by developing and executing on strategic initiatives focused on Profit, Revenue, and increasing operational and cost efficiencies for a premium reputable fashion brand. Creating, executing and implementing the strategy to drive growth and scale with continuous improvements, efficiencies and innovation. Driving growth across DTC e Commerce & wholesale channels to maximise market share and increase online & wholesale sales with a key focus on Australia, then looking to international markets. Team leadership. Operational and people management. Performance reviews and OKR set up. Encourage and support a happy & thriving work environment. Overall Financial accountability / Commercial leadership- Assist Founder by overseeing budgets, forecasting, KPI'S for each department and identify areas for planned improvement/ review. Execute strategic initiatives for all departments. Short term and long-term planning. Oversee key areas of control for monthly P&L management, retail, supply chain, business operational efficiency, production, PR & marketing expenses and a focus on achieving budgets / cashflow management. Lead both large and small operational projects to support business priorities such as elevating our local retail presence and branding & event opportunities. Manage & review external communication agreements and contracts (freight, rentals, sales agents, PR, Major Department stores, wholesale). The Skillset We are seeking a candidate with strong operational and commercial business acumen preferably with fashion industry experience, however, transferable skills from other industries will be considered. Be a Jack of all Trades and a master of one: Leading a small team you will be required to wear many hats. However, we want you to have a focus alongside managing the team. This could be retail, production, logistics, digital marketing, e Commerce, sales. Assumed commercial qualifications. Strong financial and commercial business acumen. Retail & Wholesale knowledge and experience preferred but not essential. Ecommerce knowledge and experience preferred but not essential. Minimum 5+ years of relevant business experience in a relatable industry. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Strong strategic acumen, ability to identify, prioritise and deliver high impact initiatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent business judgement, strong fact-based decision making and a practical sensibility. Strong communication skills with a focus on being fair, clear and simple. Outstanding customer service skills and a passion for creating exceptional experiences. Highly organised and effective time management.
