The business was founded in early 2018, making this career opening the perfect one for someone looking to grow within the organisation and make this space their own.Benefits at Maple Youth Services Competitive industry rates: we offer above industry rates, pay superannuation and travel reimbursement.Professional development: we provide ongoing training, career progression and mentorship for our staff to assist you when out in the field.The Role: Manage a team of youth workers in a range of settings, such as OOHC mentoring, residential out-of-home care, contact visits, and in-home support.Prepare and review high quality reports, including weekly updates for relevant external case managers.Ensure the care team undertake the coordination of care services to each client in line with the agencies policies and procedures.Exercise professional judgement to ensure comprehensive response when making decisions concerning children and young people entering out-of-home care.Identify and understand key areas of concern for a child or young person based on information provided to establish the right care while maintaining confidentiality.Work with relevant stakeholders to identify any prevalent aspects of maltreatment to ensure the appropriate care is provided to the client and the effects of such treatment are considered in ongoing care and wellbeing.Lead and motivate team of Youth Workers developing innovative strategies to maintain a high standard of practice.Monitor the performance of direct reports, ensuring constructive feedback is provided for ongoing development.Ensure direct reports and Youth Workers have a sound understanding of behavioural principles and how behaviours are used by clients to communicate.Ensuring support is provided in case of any impacts of challenging behaviours on Youth Workers.Manage multiple case loads.Implement programs and routines for Youth Workers for implementation with clients.Construct a rotating weekly shift allocation for a large group.
