Job Title: Model Based Systems Engineer
Location: Russell, ACT
Primary Purpose:
HCF Combat Systems is looking for an experienced Model Based Systems Engineer to establish and manage the Hunter Class Frigate Combat System (HCF CS) Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) model within the Commonwealth of Australia’s (CoA) preferred MBSE tool, Cameo. This role will focus on leveraging an already established industry model that currently resides within industry tools, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with CoA tools and processes.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Commercial and Technical:
* Establish and manage the HCF CS MBSE model within the CoA's preferred MBSE tool, Cameo .
* Liaise with the HCF Shipbuilder to ensure alignment and an effective transition of the contractor’s MBSE instance into CoA’s tools.
* Perform configuration management and MBSE functions using HCF’s preferred tools, including:
* Cameo
* CMT-U
* Windchill
* DOORS
People and Processes:
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth execution on the HCF CS program.
* Work closely with industry partners to facilitate the transfer of information and ensure consistency between models and data repositories.
* Collaborate with the HCF CS team to guide the design and implementation of the HCF CS MBSE model .
* Interact with relevant MIWS and HCF CS members to gather configuration data as needed.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
* Successful generation and management of the HCF CS MBSE Model .
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or an Advanced Diploma .
* Relevant MBSE/Cameo qualifications .
Experience:
* Proven experience in project work from concept through to delivery.
* Previous experience working in an autonomous, self-motivated role, with a high degree of responsibility.
* Strong technical knowledge related to Navy and Combat Systems .
