The role plays an integral role in the management of Insight, which is the Agency's central risk management system. The role requires continuing to improve the system functionality by working closely with key stakeholders.
A new role awaits The National Disability and Insurance Agency (NDIA) is seeking candidates to fill an EL1 Assistant Director Risk Infrastructure vacancy.
The Insight platform is a key tool in the NDIA's risk management framework, supporting informed decision-making through data management analytics and streamlined processes. The team ensures the platform is effectively developed, maintained, and optimised to enhance efficiency and functionality. We provide system administration, technical support, and implement features that enable the recording, management, and reporting of risks by continuously improving the platform. We help the Agency proactively manage risk exposure and strengthen governance.
Where you can add value Duties include but are not limited to:
Identifying and documenting current business processes to create baseline understanding. Facilitating the identification of business requirements, monitoring and collating data, and identifying competing demands, organisational changes, and new responsibilities. Evaluating the effectiveness of proposed solutions and design at both a conceptual and tactical level in conjunction with stakeholders and subject matter experts. Maintaining current expertise in Information Systems and applying this to the development, execution, and improvement of the Strategic Program. Leading workshops and training sessions with key stakeholders. Designing and configuring dashboards and reports for NDIA staff as required to enhance existing information and further investigations. Providing risk reporting and insights to Agency Executives and the Board. Facilitating cross-functional risk communications on risk management issues and initiatives. Demonstrated experience in the configuration and development of Archer GRC Integrated Risk Management software. Experience in the creation of technical requirements and system documentation, communicating effectively with relevant parties. Self-driven and able to work independently, with strong planning and organisational skills. Confidence interacting with people on different levels and experience liaising with and influencing internal/external stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including Group Risk Partners, business units, and the offices of senior executives. The ability to influence and negotiate effectively is desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex information, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions. Your NDIA Experience We work as one team. While this role is ideally performed from Surry Hills NSW, Geelong or Richmond VIC, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity; however, non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered. A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions (ongoing and non-ongoing) within the next 18 months.
