We are seeking a full-time (Monday – Friday) Finance and Administration Leader to join our team primarily based in our Hervey Bay office with flexible hybrid work arrangements that may include working from both our Maryborough & Hervey Bay offices and/or home.
This role involves overseeing our financial operations, providing strategic financial guidance to ensure our business goals are met, and maintaining our company's financial health and integrity.
You will be responsible for the achievement of the Board approved budget, providing leadership, direction, mentoring and support to the finance team to support a high-performance culture with a focus on innovative business improvement ideology and growth.
Ensuring all accounts and payroll processes are undertaken to a high level of quality, accuracy and timeliness, providing hands-on assistance to the Finance Team as required.
Managing finance and accounts activities and preparation of financial reporting, preparing and presenting monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, forecasts, and variance analysis to senior management.
Providing insightful information and expectations to senior leaders to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
Developing and implementing operational budgets and associated financial reports to assist with explaining budget variances as well as broad financial analysis & problem solving.
Strategic financial management, including cost and revenue optimisation.
Establishing and maintaining proper financial controls, preparation and evaluation of capital investment proposals.
Being an active member of the Leadership Team, focusing on the key result areas of safety, people and service delivery while enhancing financial performance.
Completing grant applications and analysis.
What you will bring to the role: Significant experience operating in a similar Senior Finance capacity.
Tertiary qualification in accounting with membership to CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Extensive knowledge and experience in accounting and administrative procedures, including payroll.
Expert level in reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to facilitate business planning processes.
Excellent knowledge in using accounting and financial systems, and other MS Office applications.
Strong leadership and team management skills, including motivating and developing team members.
Experience using TRACCS and MYOB would be an advantage.
