Veolia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and lead the landfill operations at our Ti-Tree Bioenergy facility (Willowbank 4306). In this leadership role, you will provide strategic direction, visible leadership and a strong commitment to ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective operations that comply with legal, environmental and ethical standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

What you'll be responsible for:
Overseeing all aspects of landfill operations including waste disposal, landfill gas capture, compaction, waste acceptance and compliance with regulations/licences.
Providing strategic leadership to the team, including setting goals and objectives, managing performance, and offering guidance and support to drive achievement of site plans.
Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal teams, contractors, government entities and the local community.
Implementing strategies to drive continuous improvement, operational optimization and cost efficiencies.
Demonstrating visible leadership and promoting Veolia’s “Always Safe Culture”, ensuring the workplace is safe at all times.
What you'll need to be successful:
Proven leadership experience managing teams in waste/landfill operations, heavy industry or similar operational setting
Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or relevant discipline
Demonstrated ability to drive safety culture improvements and regulatory compliance
Strong commercial acumen with skills in financial management, budgeting and cost control
Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities
Valid driver's licence
