The role
is based in Parramatta.
You will be reporting to the Manager Geotechnical Scientist (Project Engineering) where you will assist in field investigations, analyses, interpretations, and advice for geotechnical, pavements and materials aspects related to infrastructure design, construction and maintenance in order to support the development and delivery of infrastructure projects provides technical support and advice to various internal/external partners (development, design and delivery) encompassing the whole project lifecycle. You will be adaptable and flexible as the role is matrixed across multiple work streams.

About you
You will have tertiary qualifications in geology, geophysics, or related science/engineering discipline; possess a current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver’s license and willingness to work outside regular working hours and travel on occasion.
You have a demonstrated track record of delivering geotechnical, materials, or pavements services to clients. Your experience encompass desktop studies, field and laboratory investigations, data analysis, interpretation, design, and the application of project management principles. You possess strong observational and analytical skills, capable of leading geotechnical investigations in diverse terrain and weather conditions, and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with geoscientific and geotechnical software, as well as knowledge of safety and environmental standards, is essential.
You are a self-starter, an autonomous operator, who proactively takes the initiative to establish effective relationships and solve problems. You possess strong communication skills and attention to detail and able to manage multiple cross-functional priorities with conflicting deadlines. Proficient multitasking, organisational, teamwork and planning skills are crucial.
