As a key contributor to Poultry Hub Australia's strategic initiatives, the successful candidate will leverage their expertise in areas such as poultry nutrition, health, production systems, or genetics to conduct high-quality, industry-relevant research.
They will also manage research projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery of outcomes that benefit stakeholders.
The role requires a demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging educational programs, including online and blended learning and will lead the development of industry-focused training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

About you To be successful in this role, you will have: A PhD in a relevant field such as poultry science, animal science, or agricultural science, providing a strong academic foundation for advanced research and teaching in the poultry sector.
You will demonstrate a proven ability to lead high-quality, innovative research with a record of peer-reviewed publications, successful grant applications, and impactful project outcomes for industry stakeholders.
Your experience in managing research projects will include planning, budgeting, reporting, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring timely and effective project delivery.
You will also have a proven capacity to build and maintain strong collaborations with industry partners, research institutions, and funding bodies, translating research into practical applications that benefit the poultry industry.
An in-depth understanding of poultry science,such as nutrition, health, genetics, or production systems,along with awareness of the challenges and opportunities in the Australian poultry sector, will enable you to address key issues through research and innovation.
Additionally, you will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders and effectively disseminating research outcomes to academic and non-academic audiences.
About the Poultry Hub Australia Poultry Hub Australia (PHA) is a poultry industry research centre located at the University of New England (UNE).
While PHA is part of UNE, it operates as a semi-autonomous body.
Poultry Hub Australia main objectives are to provide leadership in coordinating collaborative projects essential to the Australian poultry industry's long-term sustainability and deliver practical solutions in a timely manner.
Poultry Hub Australia focuses on applied poultry research, education, extension and training programs in close collaboration with industry.
PHA aims to share knowledge, build capacity and create connections in the poultry industry.
PHA will do this through, supporting research, developing education programs for schools, designing and running industry training sessions and providing a range of poultry training options.
