The Department of Social Work and Social Policy is located in the School and offers a two-year postgraduate Master of Social Work, a four-year undergraduate Bachelor of Social Work along with Higher Degree by Research options and Graduate Certificates in Child Protection and Mental Health.
About the role Source and secure student field placements for the Master of Social Work.Deliver quality teaching and unit coordination in social work.Undertake research and obtain research funding, individually or in collaboration, as well as supervising research students and contributing to the academic environment of the School.About you Up to five years of social work practice experience in a relevant industry setting.High-level self-management skills with the ability to efficiently work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet required deadlines.Experience in the supervision of social work students on field placements.Knowledge of and strong networks within the health and human services sectors.Capacity to obtain research grants and undertake research.Note: A current National Police Clearance Certificate, Working with Children Check, and "C" class driver's licence will be required by the successful applicant.
