The Senior Coordinator has 5 direct reports:Two Healthy Ageing Liaison Officers who provide information on services available to our older community and assist with accessing those services.A Senior Community Partnerships Officer who oversees Moorleigh Community Village.A Healthy and Active Ageing Officer who supports healthy and active ageing for our older community.A Healthy Ageing Administration Officer who supports Council’s 64 Independent Living Units and the Community Bus Hire Program.About the roleAs the Senior Coordinator Healthy Ageing, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative programs that promote the health and well-being of older adults in our community. You will also implement initiatives that support carers who look after loved ones of all ages. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organisations and government departments.Other responsibilities include:Lead and facilitate the development, review, monitoring of policies, strategic plans and quality requirements.Ensure compliance and reporting requirements under the Commonwealth Home Support Program and Home and Community Care Program for Younger People agreements.Oversee the contract with Bayside City Council.Conduct research to ascertain community needs and customer satisfaction.Liaise with community groups and other service providers.About youYou will have a strong background in healthy and active ageing services or a related field and possess exceptional leadership skills. Your excellent communication abilities allow you to effectively advocate for the needs and rights of older citizens and carers.The following is also required:Tertiary qualification in welfare or health-related discipline or lesser formal qualifications with extensive experience.Proven ability to communicate and work with a diverse range of people.A solid understanding of Aged Care systems and aged care reforms.Experience in establishing a new team would be highly regarded.Pre-employment checksProgressed candidates must undergo pre-employment screening as a standard procedure which will include:Employee Working with Children CheckNew National Police Record CheckEvidence of right to work in Australia.Apply NOW!All applications must be submitted online by clicking the ‘Apply’ button.
