Following exciting growth plans, we are looking for a Field Installation Technician to join our installation team.
About the role:
This role, based on an hourly rate, includes a work van, opportunities for overtime, on-the-job training, and travel. The successful candidate will begin their journey with BreatheSafe in our Carole Park Head Office workshop, completing an estimated 2-3 months of training with the assembly team. During this time, you will assist with the assembly of air filtration kits, gaining in-depth knowledge of our products.
Following the training period, you will transition to a mixture of field work and continuing support for the assembly team as required. This includes traveling to various sites across Australia for installations, repairs, and servicing, while still contributing to kit assembly in the workshop when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Use a variety of hand tools and machinery to install kits, including cab sealing with silicone, wiring, and mounting to machinery.
* Assist with the assembly of air filtration kits, using hand tools and machinery to ensure quality and precision.
* Travel regularly within Australia for installations, repairs, and servicing, adapting to various environments.
* Ensure all installations meet provided specifications and standards.
* Document all installations thoroughly, including photographs and written reports, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
* Diligently report any discrepancies or issues encountered during installations, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Provide excellent customer service and technical support, addressing client needs effectively.
* Educate customers on the proper use and maintenance of installed filtration systems.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and exemplary service delivery.
* Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers as required, demonstrating expertise and professionalism at all times.
* Strictly adhere to the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act and regulations.
* Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and procedures.
* Participate in safety training sessions and meetings as required.
BreatheSafe Hours of Work:
* 5.30am – 2.45pm Monday to Thursday
* 5.30am – 11.30am Friday
* Every second Friday off (long weekend)
About you:
This position is ideally suited to someone who is mechanically minded and has experience in air conditioning or a fitter and turner type role. You will also have experience in customer service as you will often need to liaise with the clients on site. We will require the following of you:
* Police & Reference Checks
* Pre-Employment Medical
* Manual Drivers Licence
* High attention to detail
* Your own tools (required only after completing the training period; notice will be provided)
* Forklift and Working at Heights tickets (preferred but not essential)
* Site experience (preferred, but not essential)
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Great communication skills
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated and a quick learner.
