We’re seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to become an integral part of our team at JAX Tyres & Auto Geelong. You’ll be responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a diverse range of vehicles, ensuring every car receives top-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical issues.
* Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, brakes, transmissions, electrical systems, and more.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical problems efficiently.
* Replace or repair key vehicle components, such as belts, hoses, and filters.
* Carry out routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
* Provide clear explanations of repair needs and recommendations to customers.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on repairs.
* Adhere to all safety standards and regulations in the workshop.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service and on-time delivery.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to uphold our service standards.
* Manage and maintain tools and equipment inventory, ensuring everything is in good working order.
What We’re Looking For:
* A trade qualification in Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
* A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
* Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
