About the Team: The Community Grants Hub (the Hub) works in partnership with government and non-government organisations to embed the department's mission to improve the wellbeing of individuals and families in Australian communities.The Hub does this by administering community-based grants on behalf of the department and eight other government departments. About the Role: As an APS 5 Document Specialist within the Digital Products and System Enhancements (DPSE) team, your primary responsibilities will include the design and development of online forms and digital documents.You will collaborate with business stakeholders to collect their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Additionally, you will be required to undertake the testing and debugging of these digital solutions, as well as providing support to end-users. Your role will include the development and maintenance of online forms using various tools such as Maestro, Journey Manager, or similar applications.To be successful in this position you will need strong business analysis capabilities, including analytical problem-solving skills, effective interpersonal and consultative abilities, proficiency in both verbal and written communication, a creative approach, foundational software knowledge, and experience in designing user-friendly and efficient digital solutions. You may have previous experience in roles such as: APS Business Analyst APS Forms or Digital Content Developer APS Digital Transformation Officer APS Technical Writer APS Quality Assurance (QA) Officer APS Client or Service Support Officer Training will be provided to assist new staff to perform their role. Duties for the position include: Communicating with influence and engaging professionally and positively with stakeholders to develop productive working relationships. Reviewing funding round design documentation and translating them into technical specifications to build bespoke application forms and digital documents. Making decisions using good judgement, expertise, and knowledge in line with regulations and best practice. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of digital products to meet agreed timeframes. Identifying and escalating risks or issues impacting on service delivery or adoption. Contributing to continued business improvement processes with a digital focus. Key Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication and engagement skills. Ability to work well in a team, including in a remote or virtual environment. Ability to interpret and understand technical documentation. Ability to explain complex information in a straightforward manner to internal and external staff and stakeholders.
