Our community is strengthened through engaging activities and events that connect with families.The Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Officer for a 9-month maternity leave contract. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining best practice Human Resources policies, processes, and documentation.Selection Criteria: Professes a Christian belief and actively participates in church fellowship.Exhibits a model Christian character and living within the community accepting of Citipointe Christian College's Statement of Faith.Relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in Human Resource systems, practices and processes.Applied knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation, and statutory requirements with which the College must comply.Demonstrate strong administration and data management skills. Provide wise counsel, optimism and grace under pressure and in conflict conversations.Demonstrate an ability and commitment to apply ethical principles to sensitive and complex issues.Demonstrate an empathetic approach with all members of the College community including staff, parents, students and contractors.Hold a current Child Related Employment Positive Notice Blue Card.Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Oversee the complete employee lifecycle, including but not limited to recruitment, HR process improvement, performance management, employment contracts, terminations, policy development, service recognition and data management. Ongoing continual improvement in HR processes across the employee lifecycle, in consultation with key stakeholders to achieve compliant, timely and cost-effective practices. Working with payroll to ensure data quality and accuracy is efficiently managed and maintained for all employees across the employee lifecycle.Ensure HR Policies and Procedures are developed and embedded in day-to-day practice, in consultation with the Compliance Officer.Support and build performance management processes and improvement practices, partnering with Senior Leadership to facilitate coaching, feedback, counselling, and mentorship to drive performance and enhance employee wellbeing.Foster a positive workplace culture and address HR concerns while maintaining confidentiality. Provide support in workers' compensation claims in collaboration with Health Bay Staff. Provide advice and support to the Principal and Executive staff on all employee and industrial relations matters.Demonstrate leadership, attend meetings and contribute to school activities as needed.Other duties as determined by the Business Manager or Principal.
