What you'll be doing
The Communicable Disease team has responsibility for developing strategic approaches to the surveillance and control of infectious disease within the community in Northern Sydney. Specific roles include receipt and response to notifications of notifiable disease under the Public Health Act, and the development of contingency plans for disease outbreaks. The Public Health Nurse will work in a team to provide high level professional Communicable disease follow-up and management service for residents of the Northern Sydney Local Health District (LHD).
1. Registered Nurse - Division 1 or Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Demonstrated experience & knowledge of current issues in communicable disease.
3. Demonstrated ability to work in a team, with organisational and interpersonal skills.
4. Understanding of notifiable diseases and the role of the public health network in NSW.
