The Thales Australia AWS business offers ship repair, maintenance and asset management / in-service support capabilities for commercial and naval ships in Australia. The business also offers the provision of docking, reticulated services and facility maintenance within Garden Island.
Your Role
We are seeking a Cost & Schedule Analyst to play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects and programs. This position is based in Garden Island.
Core duties include:
Develop and maintain Earned Value Management data for project schedules. Ensure accurate representation of work progress and control for deviations. Maintain project management artifacts (e.g., WBS, OBS, RAM). Implement and maintain the EVM system and analyze variances. Plan and schedule work using tools like Primavera. Prepare inputs for monthly PMO reporting and customer deliverables. Drive the development and maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB). Support Risk & Opportunities assessments. Foster a cooperative working relationship within the team. Assist with financial data analysis and support junior team members. Your Experience:
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
Qualification in Business or Engineering, or equivalent. Knowledge of project management lifecycle. Proficiency in EVM system tools (e.g., Cobra). Experience with Primavera and scheduling tools. Basic knowledge of schedule health checks. Scheduling expertise in PERT and CPM analysis. Financial and budgetary control experience. Technical understanding of the project domain (desirable). Experience in the development project engineering lifecycle (desirable). Australian Citizenship to be eligible for clearance.
