Rheinmetall NIOA Munitions Pty Ltd (RNM), a joint venture between Rheinmetall Waffe Munitions and NIOA Pty Ltd operate a state of the art forging and manufacturing facility in Maryborough QLD that produces artillery shell cases and other munitions-related products for supply to defence.What are we looking for? RNM are looking to add permanent full-time night shift operators to the team who will support semi-automated and automated processes at various machine centres. Key Accountabilities Performs or assists with a variety of tasks to support operation of the various automated and manually operated machine centres including, steel cutting, induction heating & forging, hydraulic press processes and quality testing.Work tasks which may include operation of numerical control consoles, lifting equipment, mobile plant, verifying, measuring, problem solving, operator maintenance & housekeeping and other general duties.Contributes in team activities including but not limited to problem solving activities, training, safety, quality, meetings, projects and continuous improvement including review of work instructions and procedures.Undertakes training and development and rotation of work tasks or work centres as required.Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Secondary school certificate with above average behaviour and effortSteel manufacturing/mechanical or equivalent experience with interest in acquiring competence to operate our custom equipment.Experience working independently and in a close team, suit pro-active self-starter with an inquisitive nature to explore and overcome challenges and contributing to a quality and safe outcome in a highly technical / manufacturing environment.Drivers licence and/or mobile crane, first aid or ability to acquire.Skills & Competencies SafetyTeamworkAttendance/PunctualityDependabilityAdaptabilityPersonal Attributes A strong hands-on mentality.Hard-working and supportive.Self-motivated with a high regard for how work is performed to a quality outcomeFlexible and adaptable.Additional Requirements Fit to work in munitions manufacturing environment include but not exhaustive of physical requirements to regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands and reach with arms, talk and hear, wear PPE & interact with personnel & work to a standard.
